Step 4. Sale Progression

After an offer has been accepted the progress of the sale is carefully tracked. Whilst "under offer" unfortunately the sale is not legally binding for either the seller or buyer and we therefore work hard on your behalf to help the progress of the sale through to an "exchange of contracts" as smoothly and quickly as possible. We liaise, not only with you and the buyer, but the relevant solicitors, financial advisers and other parties involved in the chain.

Your solicitor will send out a draft contract to the purchaser's solicitor who in turn carries out preliminary enquiries. They will also organise all the supporting paperwork such as title deeds, fixtures and fittings list, seller's questionnaire, planning consent, guarantees, copy of building regulations and other relevant documentation, a number of which may already be available within the Home Information Pack.
